What is BitcoinOX?

BitcoinOX is not a bank. You do not have an "account" with us. BitcoinOX cannot access or control your funds, not does it collect or transmit any kind of personal information.
BitcoinOX is an interface. It allows you to interact with many blockchains without ever giving up your private keys, the "passcode" to your funds.

What do I need to know before using BitcoinOX

We can never recover your funds if you lose your recovery phrase or your private keys.

We can never recover your funds if you reveal your recovery phrase or your private keys to a third party.

Once a transaction has confirmed on the blockchain, it can not be reversed or canceled.

BitcoinOX can not send transactions on your behalf. Only you can create a transaction. You are always in full control of your funds. No one -- not even us -- can steal, block or censor any transaction you want to make.

What is a recovery phrase?

A BIP39 recovery phrase is a 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24 word phrase that generates your private keys. This recovery phrase generates your wallet.

Every address and private key generated from your recovery phrase is permanently tied to it.

A recovery phrase is not your BitcoinOX PIN (which you enter to send, sweep, and exchange funds). You can change your BitcoinOX PIN in-app using your recovery phrase.

As long as you alone hold your recovery phrase, only you will be able to send your funds.

It's essential that you have a backup of your recovery phrase in case anything ever happens to your phone.

How much do I have to pay to use BitcoinOX? How do I set fees?

You pay absolutely nothing to us. BitcoinOX is a free wallet.

But what are those fees I keep seeing? Do you charge me for accepting or sending payments?

No, we don't charge anything. Receiving coins is always free, fees are paid by the sender. Outgoing transactions require a transaction fee which goes to the miners of each coin, not to BitcoinOX.

I see there is a fee in transactions, who is the recipient? Why do I have to pay?

The fee you see in the sending transaction dialog is paid to Bitcoin or another Blockchain miners to confirm your transaction (i.e. add it to the Bitcoin blockchain). Transactions fees change according to demand on the Blockhains network.

I have forgotten my PIN. What can I do?

It is not possible to recover your PIN. However, you can restore your wallet from its mnemonic(seed) phrase and choose a new PIN. If you lose both your PIN and your mnemonic(seed), there is no way to recover your money. This is why we ask you to save your seed phrase on paper.

To restore your wallet from its mnemonic(seed) phrase, + Add wallet, select «Recover», choose crypto currency and proceed to input your mnemonic(seed) phrase.

My transaction has been unconfirmed for a long time. What can I do?

All transactions become “confirmed” when miners accept to write them in the blockchain. In general, the speed of confirmation depends on the fee you attach to your transaction; miners prioritize transactions that pay the highest fees.

If you have made a transaction that is unconfirmed, you can:
• Wait for a long time. Eventually, your transaction will either be confirmed or cancelled. This might take several days.

What is the gap limit?

The gap limit is the maximum number of consecutive unused addresses in your deterministic sequence of addresses. BitcoinOX uses it in order to stop looking for addresses. In BitcoinOX, it is set to 20 by default, so the client will get all addresses until 20 unused addresses are found.

Option present on "bitcoin like" type wallet.
